Stacy and Gus earn their CD November 2019
Anastasia’s Boy CD BN RA SWA CGC TKI – Gus
I joined the Verde Valley Dog Obedience and Agility Club when Gus was 4 months old with the intention of completing a puppy obedience class. It was then we discovered how much we loved working and having fun together.
Gus loves to swim and hike. He has such a fun and loving disposition; I like to say that he was bred for comedy.
Over the past 4 years we have competed in AKC at both Obedience and Rally trials earning his Rally Advanced Title. Most recently Gus earned his Companion Dog title and we continue to play with open and utility exercises.
After taking a Nosework class led by Cynde Leshin, Gus and I discovered our passion for the sport. We competed in our first AKC Nosework trial in June 2019 taking First Place in many of the trials we entered. Gus has gone on to receive many placements as well as two High in Trial designations. Gus recently earned his overall Scentwork Excellent Title and we are currently trialing in the AKC Master’s Division with an unknown number of hides. We continue to build on the skills we’ve learned and look forward to participating in more Scentwork Trials.
